Research checked 7 October 2026. General editorial review for readers in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Eurotrader needs a date-sensitive review. The current Eurotrader.com website identifies a Mauritius business and promotes MatchTrader, while older descriptions can point readers toward different platforms and a Cyprus licence. Most importantly, CySEC announced in September 2026 that it had withdrawn the licence of Eurotrade Investments RGB Ltd. A review that simply repeats an old list of group licences would miss a material change.

That development does not mean every company using the Eurotrader name has the same status. It means the entity distinction must come first. The current .com offering should be assessed on its own agreement, advertised Mauritius authorisation, country restrictions and trading terms. It should not borrow reassurance from the former Cyprus authorisation, nor should a regulatory action against one company be inaccurately described as an action against all related businesses.

For an eligible international trader, Eurotrader's basic proposition is straightforward: a choice between spread-based and commission-based accounts, a browser-oriented trading platform and access to several CFD categories. The less straightforward parts are the documentation differences, high available leverage and conditions attached to apparently simple claims such as free withdrawals. Those issues make it a broker to investigate carefully rather than select on a single price headline.

The regulatory change that older reviews may miss

On 17 September 2026, CySEC published its decision to withdraw Eurotrade Investments RGB Ltd's Cyprus investment-firm authorisation, number 279/15. The decision was made on 3 August 2026. The regulator cited management and organisational non-compliance and instructed the company to stop providing investment and ancillary services and address client complaints. This is stated in the official CySEC decision.

This is a significant point for European readers and for anyone relying on historical marketing. A licence number does not remain a current authorisation merely because old pages, comparison sites or archived documents still mention it. Regulatory identity must be checked at the time the account is considered, not only at the time the brand first became familiar.

The present Eurotrader.com footer names Eurotrade International Ltd, Mauritius business registration 197389 GBC, and states that it is an investment dealer authorised by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission under licence GB22201125. This review verified that disclosure on the broker's site; it did not obtain a current independently rendered FSC firm record confirming the complete permission set. The current homepage footer is the source for that claim.

The Seychelles FSA directory separately lists Eurotrade RGB (Seychelles) Ltd under the EUROTRADER trade name. That is useful evidence of another named entity, but it does not change the Mauritius identity shown on the current .com pages or establish which company would accept a particular applicant. The FSA directory should be used to verify the exact Seychelles business where relevant, not as a group-wide substitute.

The practical outcome is a three-part check: identify the company offered in the application, match it to the current regulator record, and read the agreement issued by that same company. If any of those steps points to a different entity, obtain an explanation before proceeding. A brand-level assurance that the business is regulated is too broad to settle the question.

Who is the current website intended to serve?

The .com footer says the information is not directed at residents of the UK, Japan, Belgium or countries within the EU, alongside other named jurisdictions. That limits the usefulness of a generic international recommendation. A European name and European-language pages do not establish that European residents can use the advertised account. The country qualification appears in the website's legal notice.

Readers in Europe should separate the UK, the EEA and other European jurisdictions. The former Cyprus licence cannot be assumed to supply an available EEA route, and the Mauritius offering should not be treated as automatically available to a UK resident. The correct answer must be country-specific and current.

In Asia, Africa and Latin America, the absence of a country from the footer is not enough to establish eligibility. Local rules, the broker's acceptance policy, the selected entity and the requested product can all matter. A functioning registration form is a technical fact, not a regulatory conclusion.

If an introducer is involved, ask that the entity and country answer be confirmed by the broker through an official channel. The introducer may know the product well, but their familiarity does not replace the account issuer's responsibility. The same principle applies to translations: a local-language page makes information accessible without creating a local legal relationship.

Standard versus Raw Spread

The current account comparison presents Standard and Raw Spread accounts. Standard advertises spreads from 1.0 pip and no separate commission; Raw Spread advertises spreads from 0.0 pips and commission per lot of $7, €6.50 or £6. Both list USD, EUR and GBP base currencies. These are published starting conditions on the account-types page, not measured average trading costs.

The same comparison displays minimum-deposit figures of 50 for Standard and 500 for Raw Spread, but the rendered row does not clearly attach a currency to those numbers. Readers should confirm the applicable currency and any equivalent-value rule before relying on them. The difference is large enough to affect a smaller account, but the minimum is still only an access condition, not a sensible trading budget.

The commission wording also needs clarification. A per-lot figure must be understood as per side or per completed round trip before it can be compared with a spread-only account. The inspected public comparison did not make that convention sufficiently explicit to treat the displayed figure as a guaranteed all-in round-trip price.

Raw pricing may suit a strategy that trades often and can benefit from narrower spreads after commission. Standard may be easier to evaluate for a person who prefers the execution charge embedded in the quote. Neither choice guarantees a cheaper total experience. Financing, actual spread conditions, order size and conversion can outweigh the headline difference.

A useful way to choose is to take the last twenty representative trades from an existing strategy, or a realistic planned sample, and calculate the expected cost under both structures. Keep the instruments, times and sizes identical. If the comparison changes merely because different spread observations were chosen, the evidence is too weak to support a confident conclusion.

How to compare the bill without fooling yourself

Eurotrader's costs page separates commission, spread and swap charges. That is the correct conceptual starting point, even though its illustrative calculations should not be mistaken for a personalised quote. The costs and charges guide is useful for identifying the categories that need to be included.

Consider a hypothetical trade in which one pip is worth $10. If Account A has a 1.2-pip spread and no separate commission, the spread component is approximately $12. If Account B has a 0.3-pip spread and $8 of total round-trip commission, the combined entry-and-exit cost is approximately $11 before financing and slippage. These invented figures illustrate arithmetic, not Eurotrader prices.

Now change only the holding period. If Account B incurs an additional financing expense relative to A, its small initial advantage can disappear. This is why a day-trading comparison cannot automatically be reused for a position held several weeks. A complete broker decision needs at least one short-holding and one longer-holding scenario.

Minimum spreads are particularly easy to overvalue. A zero-pip observation can be genuine and still say little about the average cost of a real strategy. Record the spread at the times the strategy normally enters and exits, including less liquid periods if they are part of the plan. The relevant measure is the cost encountered, not the lowest quote seen once.

Slippage should be tracked separately. A market order prioritises execution over a precise price; a limit order controls price but may remain unfilled. The economic cost of a missed trade can differ from the cost of accepting a worse fill. There is no single order type that minimises every kind of risk.

Account currency is another source of friction. If the trader funds in one currency, holds the wallet in a second and operates the trading account in a third, conversion can occur more than once. The cleanest arrangement is often the one that avoids unnecessary conversions, provided it also fits reporting and withdrawal needs.

Do not let a bonus determine the account

Promotional credit should be considered separately from cash owned by the customer. Before using any promotion, determine whether the credit can be withdrawn, how withdrawing capital affects it and whether losing the credit changes margin availability. Those terms can matter more than the advertised bonus percentage.

A sound comparison first assumes no promotional benefit. If the account remains suitable, the promotion can be examined on its own conditions. If the economics work only when a bonus is counted as unrestricted cash, the comparison is probably overstating the account's value.

MatchTrader is the current platform focus

Eurotrader's current platform page describes MatchTrader as a multi-asset environment available through a browser and phone, combining charting, analysis and order management. It also offers a demo with $100,000 of virtual funds. These are broker-described features of the MatchTrader offering, rather than the results of a live execution test.

The browser-first approach can be convenient for a trader who works across devices or does not want a locally installed terminal. It can also reduce the friction of accessing an account while away from the main workstation. The tradeoff is that usability still depends on the browser, device, connection and clarity of the platform's emergency controls.

A large virtual demo balance should be adjusted conceptually to the intended live budget. Practising with positions that would be impossible or reckless in a smaller account produces little useful evidence. The demo is best used to confirm contract calculations, order behaviour and reporting rather than to accumulate a dramatic simulated return.

Some Eurotrader pages still refer to MT4 and MT5, including the swap-free material inspected during research. The current MatchTrader and Raw Spread pages point in a different direction. Readers who require a particular MetaTrader workflow should therefore confirm current availability for their entity and account, instead of relying on older platform lists. The Raw Spread page explicitly presents MatchTrader.

Platform migration can be costly even when account opening is easy. Existing scripts, indicators, report formats and execution habits may not transfer unchanged. If the strategy depends on automation, obtain concrete information about the supported interface, order limitations and testing environment. A general “algorithmic trading” feature label is not a detailed compatibility specification.

What to test before relying on the platform

The first exercise should be a complete small simulated trade. Calculate its expected value per movement, enter it, attach an appropriate protective instruction and locate the final history. Check whether commissions, financing and currency conversion appear separately. Any unexplained difference should be resolved while the account is still a practice environment.

Next, test the distinction between an existing position and a pending order. Cancelling an instruction does not necessarily close a position that has already opened. A platform should make the state clear, but the trader must know where to look. This is especially important after a connection interruption or a delayed confirmation.

Use the same device arrangement planned for real trading. A comfortable desktop layout may not translate to a phone, and a mobile browser can hide information behind extra menus. Identify which tasks can be done reliably on the smaller device and which should be prepared in advance.

The broker FAQ lists buy-limit, sell-limit, buy-stop and sell-stop pending orders for MatchTrader. Those order types should be rehearsed with their actual trigger and execution rules, rather than assumed to behave exactly like another platform's implementation. The relevant description appears in the Eurotrader FAQ.

A practice session should also include a deliberately uneventful period. Can the trader find the open exposure, free margin and pending instructions at a glance without constantly changing the layout? A good interface makes routine monitoring straightforward. It does not need to produce a sense that something must always be traded.

Leverage varies by asset and position

The current leverage page advertises maxima of 1:1000 for major and minor FX, 1:500 for exotic FX and spot metals, 1:200 for indices and energy commodities, 1:25 for stocks and 1:20 for crypto. It also describes a dynamic model in which higher instrument volume reduces the maximum leverage. These are published ceilings and qualifications in the leverage and margin guide.

The headline maximum is not a sensible default position size. In a hypothetical $30,000 exposure, a 0.5% adverse move produces roughly a $150 market loss before costs. Whether the required initial margin was $30, $300 or $1,000 does not change that market movement. Leverage affects the collateral needed to carry exposure, not the exposure's inherent volatility.

Dynamic margin requires planning for the account after an additional order, not only before it. A larger aggregate position can move into a different tier. The trader should understand whether the new rate applies to all of the exposure or a portion, how hedges are treated and what happens if requirements change during an event.

Do not assume that opening several smaller tickets avoids a position-based margin schedule. The relevant calculation may aggregate exposure by instrument or profile. Splitting an order for execution reasons is different from expecting it to change the account's economic risk.

Several apparently different markets can also respond to the same event. A long equity index, long commodity-linked currency and short defensive currency may form one concentrated view of market sentiment. Margin calculations assess whether a position can be carried under the rules; they do not establish that the portfolio is well diversified.

The appropriate limit is the amount of loss the trader can tolerate under a stressed exit, including slippage. A stop order can reduce risk without guaranteeing an exact price through a gap. If a position requires immediate extra funding to survive an ordinary movement, its size deserves reconsideration before the trade is opened.

Execution language and contractual reality

Eurotrader's public account material promotes liquidity access and no dealing-desk intervention. Its linked order-execution policy states that the company acts as principal and is the contractual counterparty, even where orders are transmitted to outside liquidity providers. These descriptions address different parts of the arrangement. The contractual role is explained in the published order-execution policy.

Using external liquidity does not automatically make a retail derivative an exchange-traded instrument or remove counterparty exposure. A customer should know who owes the obligations on the contract and how the position can be closed. The route by which a price is obtained and the legal relationship with the customer are separate matters.

For a high-frequency strategy, execution evidence needs to be more granular than a general claim of speed. Record order submission times, confirmation times, requested quantities, filled quantities and any rejection messages. Compare similar market conditions and include favourable fills as well as adverse ones.

A strategy dependent on latency differences, unusual price feeds or linked-account behaviour should be checked against the actual agreement. Platform capability does not imply that every use is permitted. Written clarification is especially valuable where the strategy is technically complex enough to be misunderstood in a support conversation.

The same discipline helps with a genuine dispute. A clear chronology and trade identifiers are more useful than a chart image alone. Preserve the account state and relevant messages so that an execution question can be investigated without reconstructing the event from memory.

The withdrawal footnotes deserve attention

Eurotrader's payment page lists bank transfer, cards, Skrill and crypto, with conditions varying by route. Although the table describes processing as free, a footnote says a withdrawal without prior trading activity can attract a fee of up to 2%. It also distinguishes processing from the additional time needed for bank or card receipt. See the withdrawals and deposits schedule.

That qualification matters to anyone planning to fund an account merely to explore it. Resolve entity, platform and fee questions first. If a customer chooses to perform an operational funding check, its possible withdrawal cost should be understood in advance. Placing a trade with no trading rationale simply to avoid an administrative fee introduces a different, potentially larger risk.

The payment schedule gives indicative settlement times and notes that extra documents can delay processing. A broker's approval is only one stage in the journey. Keep the request date, approval date and final receipt date separate, especially when weekends or holidays fall between them.

The minimum payment amount is also different from the minimum account funding requirement. A route may accept a small transfer while the chosen account has a higher activation condition. Do not infer one from the other. Ask what amount becomes available in the wallet and what amount is needed to operate the intended account.

Crypto funding needs exact network instructions, while card and bank routes need clear ownership records. The easiest deposit route is not automatically the easiest withdrawal route. Before using any method, establish how original funds and profits can be returned and what evidence is required if the original destination is no longer available.

The wallet and the trading account are not the same balance

Eurotrader's FAQ describes EUR, USD and GBP wallets and explains that transfers to trading accounts in another currency use platform conversion rates. It also describes moving credited wallet funds into a trading account. The wallet explanation is important for understanding where money sits before it supports a position.

An internal transfer can be administratively convenient without changing the overall counterparty relationship. Money moved from a trading account to a wallet is not necessarily money returned to a personal bank. The customer should understand the legal and operational status of both balances.

Before withdrawing or transferring funds internally, check the remaining free margin. A displayed cash balance can coexist with open exposures that require collateral. Reducing available funds can make the same market movement more consequential even when no new trade is placed.

Keep transfers out of performance calculations. If money moves between a wallet and a trading account, neither the increase in one nor the decrease in the other is a trading gain or loss. Consolidated reporting should begin with external deposits and withdrawals, then add realised results, financing, fees and currency effects.

Inactivity is a real cost for occasional users

The currently linked Mauritius client agreement permits a monthly $25 inactivity fee, or currency equivalent, where an account has no open positions and no trades initiated for six months. It can apply separately to inactive accounts and, in specified circumstances, to the wallet. These conditions are in the client agreement, rather than the spread headline.

This changes the assessment for someone who trades only occasionally. A low entry cost can be outweighed by charges on an account left unused. Maintaining several small accounts for hypothetical future strategies may create avoidable expenses if none is actively needed.

The answer should not be to place unnecessary trades to keep an account alive. Instead, review whether the account still serves a purpose, what the closure process requires and whether the remaining funds can be withdrawn economically. A trading decision should not be manufactured to solve an administrative issue.

When closing, first export statements and confirm that open positions and pending orders have been addressed. Then request the formal status change and retain its confirmation. An empty account and a closed account are not always the same state.

Client money and protection: read the actual scope

The Mauritius agreement describes segregated omnibus arrangements for client money and sets out limitations and risks concerning financial institutions and jurisdictions. It also contains provisions concerning negative-balance-protection abuse. Those details should be read before assuming that a short protection label answers every insolvency or liability question. The source is the current linked client agreement.

Segregation and compensation are different ideas. Keeping customer funds apart from operating money can be an important safeguard, but it does not automatically mean that every balance is covered by a domestic deposit or investment guarantee. Nor does it protect against losses from the trades themselves.

Negative balance protection, where applicable, concerns specified liabilities after an adverse outcome. It does not make losing the deposited balance harmless. Its contractual conditions should be understood before a strategy depends on hedging between accounts, moving collateral or maintaining very high leverage.

For a reader comparing a Mauritius agreement with a locally regulated account, the tradeoff is larger than leverage and fees. Consider the accessibility of the complaints process, where claims would be pursued and how easily the relevant legal documents can be understood. A modest pricing advantage may not compensate for a relationship the customer cannot confidently explain.

Swap-free information needs a current written explanation

Eurotrader publishes a swap-free account page, but the version retrieved during research contains older platform references and a fee-related table whose headings do not clearly explain all the figures. That is insufficient for a confident statement that holding positions is universally free. The swap-free page should be followed by a current instrument-specific schedule from the broker.

Ask which markets qualify, whether there is a grace period, what administrative charge follows it and whether the arrangement can be changed or withdrawn. A longer-holding strategy needs these answers in cash terms for its expected position size. A general description of the account's purpose does not settle its ongoing cost.

Readers selecting a swap-free arrangement for religious reasons should evaluate its complete mechanics against their own requirements. A commercial label should not substitute for that assessment. Clear terms make it possible to ask the right questions rather than infer compliance from the absence of a familiar swap line.

Four regional perspectives

Europe

The current website's country disclaimer and the recent Cyprus licence withdrawal are decisive considerations. A European reader should first establish whether any appropriate current route is available at all. This review does not recommend treating the Mauritius site as a replacement for an EEA or UK-regulated relationship.

Existing customers who recognise the Cyprus company name should consult their own agreement and official communications to establish the status of their particular account. A new contract with another entity can alter legal rights and should be reviewed on its own terms. Do not assume that a familiar login or logo means the legal relationship remained unchanged.

Asia

Japan is explicitly named in the website's geographic disclaimer. For other Asian countries, the right approach is a country-specific eligibility check followed by confirmation of the available platform and funding routes. An old MetaTrader tutorial is not evidence that the same service remains open for a new account today.

Time-zone fit is also important. A browser platform may be convenient, but a strategy focused on markets active late in the local evening still requires a realistic monitoring plan. Decide how market closures, announcements and connectivity interruptions will be handled before relying on high leverage.

Africa

The current website identifies a Mauritius entity, and a separate Seychelles entity appears in the FSA directory. Neither fact establishes a uniform African offering. A resident should know which company accepts the account and whether local rules impose additional requirements.

Payment economics can be particularly important for smaller balances. Compare intermediary charges, conversion rates and expected receipt times using the intended transfer size. A low spread cannot offset a costly funding route if money must be moved frequently.

Latin America

Spanish and Portuguese pages can make Eurotrader easier to investigate, but they do not establish domestic regulation or automatic eligibility. The named entity and the customer's own country rules remain central. Local support or an introducer should be able to explain the relationship without replacing the official agreement.

For a customer earning in a local currency, review both trading results and exchange-rate effects. A USD, EUR or GBP balance can move in purchasing-power terms even while the trading account is idle. That matters when funds are eventually withdrawn for local spending, not just when a performance percentage is displayed.

Who might reasonably shortlist Eurotrader?

An experienced, eligible CFD trader who wants a browser-based platform and can compare Standard with Raw pricing may find the current offering worth examining. The account menu is relatively easy to understand once commission units and minimum funding are clarified. MatchTrader may also suit a trader who values access across devices more than continuity with an existing desktop terminal.

The fit is weaker for someone who needs an established MT4 or MT5 automation workflow without migration work. It is also weak for a person who trades rarely and may leave a funded account inactive, given the contractual charge. These are practical suitability concerns independent of whether the platform looks appealing.

A beginner should treat the high leverage ceiling as a reason for extra restraint, not an invitation to use a small deposit for a large position. The demo can teach mechanics, but it cannot establish that a trading strategy is profitable or that live slippage will match a simulation.

A long-term investor seeking ownership of shares or funds should examine other product structures. The central offering reviewed here is CFD trading, with financing, margin and counterparty considerations. A familiar stock name on the platform does not create the same rights as holding that security through a custody account.

Final judgement

Eurotrader's current trading proposition has identifiable strengths: two principal pricing structures, a browser-oriented platform and clearly advertised asset-specific leverage ceilings. Its public information also leaves questions that matter, particularly commission conventions, swap-free detail and the relationship between current and older product pages.

The regulatory assessment must remain precise. The Cyprus licence withdrawal is a verified recent event affecting a named company; the current .com site presents a separate Mauritius business. Neither fact should be blurred. For an eligible reader willing to verify the exact entity and resolve the outstanding commercial details, Eurotrader can be evaluated as a specific international CFD service. For anyone relying on historical European authorisation or assumed local protection, those assumptions must be corrected before the account is considered further.
